Cantre'r Gwaelod
The ruins of Cantre'r Gwaelod have never been filmed or photographed. This could be because of the Ellylldannau at the site, who are known to cause electrical death. However, it could also be due to the respect shown by visitors to local people who do not speak about or refer to the calamity.
Some irresponsible fishermen run illicit ferry services, but these are not recommended. Artist Samuel Alvarez painted this image of the ruins on what had been a sunny day, but as his fishing boat approached, it entered a gloomy mist.
